Jim Butcher - Haven't read Codex Alera, but Dresden is great
David Eddings - I've only read the Belgariad - It was fantastic
Dean Koontz - Frankenstein and Odd Thomas are my fav's
Orson Scott Card - Pretty much everything I've read - Maps in a Mirror was my favorite though
Kristin Cashore - Graceling - Haven't read the new one yet
Frank Herbert - Dune series - I'm pretty sure most of it went soaring right over my head! lol
Anne McCaffrey - Pern - Amazing!!
Robert A Heinlein - Haven't read a lot but what I have read, I've enjoyed
Suzanne Collins - Hunger Games Trilogy, I started reading her Gregor the Overlander books but got distracted by school. lol. Plan to go back.
Robin Hobb - The Farseer Trilogy was pretty good
George RR Martin - Game of Thrones - One I dropped and can't wait to get back to, again, school...

In the kids' section:
Garth Nix - Keys to the Kingdom
Angie Sage - septimus Heap - Simple but fun and cute
Brian Jacques - Redwall - If not for the Pearls of Lutra, I would not be where I am in the world. I owe my love of books and reading to Brian Jacques.

My new all-time Fav is Naomi Novik's Temeraire. :hearts: There are I think 7 of an expected 9 books released. She should be coming out with the next sometime in the next 6 months or so... I can't gush about those books enough. lol

...To name a few...lol

Do you happen to have a Nook?

I read too much to choose one favorite author. Mostly I'm into SciFi/Fantasy and some YA Fic.

Kindle. I'm in the same boat, hence the enormous list, lol - Anything with a dragon, spaceship, wizards, lasers....Sign me up! YA is pretty good too, depending on the story, but there again, scifi and fantasy are top of the list.
