I've got to agree. Although readily available, the senegals are far from common. They're my first (and as yet only) bichirs, but they are by far the most interesting creatures I've kept in 28 yrs of fishkeeping. I'm so hooked! Why didn't you guys warn me they're this addictive?? Well, maybe you did.....

I like all of them lol. They all look different and have their own personalities that it's hard to just choose one. If going by looks I'd go with ornate, then a delhezi. If going by personality then senegal wins hands down.
Yup but the only pics I have seen are in the aqualog book.Their natural range is very limited (found only in the Cross river) the info i have is they reach 16-17 inches mottled dorsal and orangish ventral body color with black pectoral fins.common name cameroon-Anne
