What's your favorite cichlids?

Amphilophus generally, but colored Citrinellus to be more specific. Can't beat a good, solid Midas. Closely followed by a "PURE" Trimac

dovii are becoming cliche and trite, pbass are getting there. Anything rare is sure to sell here, especially if it looks good.

Definitely not true, most people outside of the fish hobbyist community doesn't even know what a Dovii is, but they will know what a Convict, Jack Dempsey, Red Devil or Oscar is. Those fishes are even more "cliche"/common, they deserve their own message board, maybe called CommonFishKeepers.com ......

i've always been a fan of firemouth, red devils, classic jack dempsey or a nice green or gold severum. but lately really been into the peacock bass, such an awesome fish
