I have been looking at and researching Geo's
I never Knew their was so many species! and have found SOO many I want but for now I would like to know what species you like and if they are compatible with other geo's & rays ?

I Really like Orange head, Red Heads, Geo altifrons Tapajos , Geo Surinameensis, My favorite Geo. winemilleri  But can't find any juvies :(

just not sure which ones I want to keep , I mean I saw a Incredible Shoal of orange heads and it blew me away In the end I want a shoal that is colorful and that has great trailers

I love my Iporangensis, very colorful and always trying to mix it up with my nic and sev.

O WoW!!!

I have never seen those before but man they are Very Nice!
about how big to they get ? I am really interested !

sadly my suris were still juvies when they passed but they were already getting great coloring and adult suris are gorgeous, these are the only geos i kept but they totally turned me into a geo lover. the second i put them in the tank out of the shipment box they were all swimming around sifting through the sand totally unafraid or skittish at all. i actually did try adding a couple geos from petsmart to the group but those 2 while in the quarantine tank were totally skittish and didnt act like my suris at all

I got them last October and they're around 5-6". Don't really expect them to grow much more, maybe another inch. I got them at a gcca swap meet last year, at 2" & 4 for $10. They have another swap meet in 2 weeks, I think its in Elk Grove Village, info at gcca.net.

I am sorry to hear that sarah :( , maybe you can get you some more Surs later on, they are really a stunning fish for sure

yeah i think my 5ft120g would have been a bit cramped for the 4 of them once they were full grown, so once i have a larger tank i want to do a big geo ray tank like what your planning, i will definitely have more geos in the future though haha they got me hooked :) and like i said they didnt even have their amazing adult coloration and trailers yet so they did it with just their personalities haha I'm a sucker for an outgoing group of fish lol and once they got a little bigger they went where they please, they were just as happy to go eat off the top of the water with everyone else as they were to sift for the food through the sand

Think they would be safe with rays ? when I buy rays they are going to be pups and they wouldn't be together till they would have some size on htme , they are really priced low! I thought they would cost more then that , That is aweosme!

as long as the rays don't think they're food they should be fine, not familiar with rays.

Not technically a "geo" by genus but by family still an earth eater = Acarichthys heckelii.. < hands down the best filaments (trailers) IMO.
