WHATS YOUR FAVORITE LIVE BAIT

If I'm fishing for sunfish I prefer small pieces of worm. If I'm fishing for for Bass or Pickerel, then I use a lake caught sunfish ~4". They work awesome. It's so exciting to see that giant bobber get pulled under. The anticipation of what's on the end of the line is so exhilerating.

This thread is so old John McCain thinks it's old. I like to put on a huge shiner for pike.

When i lived in VA. the top choice was what we called mudminnows. they're really fat around 2''-3''s we use 2 catch'em a few dozens at a time in a minnow trap.

live chubs or bluegill/sunfish small channels or bullheads for flatheads, lmb pike and big walleye. crawdads for big channels, big drum and big lmb. minnows for crappie. worms cuz if nothing is biting almost anyfish eat and love worms. and the best way when useing chubs or bluegill for bait is to have an extra pole with just a single small hook and a piece of worm and catch your own bait.

for got to add smelt or cut bait for those ice out blue cats

They're free, easy to catch, and work on a wide variety of fish. Plus you can carry a dozen in your pocket!
