What's your favorite restaurants?

Chains: Freddy's, Quaker Steak n Lube, Old Chicago, BW3.

My favorites are places with good pizza and good beer like hops n pies and right coast.

Pffff like that matters, the mom and pops probably have cleaner food then the larger chains though, seeing as though its rarely prepped on site

What do you mean by that?
 
That chain places get most of their food prepped in some factory kitchen probably not even in the same state. The mom and pops places may be a little dirtier as in physical dirt, abut the food itself is cleaner

But that's not what he said...he was only commenting on the cleanliness of the chain restaurants.He said nothing about where the food is prepared....
 
It has nothing to do with food prep as all large chains prep food onsite. Unless its frozen (fries or wings). There is a company called ecolab that alot of the large chains pay to come in and do health/cleanliness audits. They are extremely thorough but expensive To the point that large chains could care less about an state health inspection (which are actually rare). They even check the chemical balance and date/time on the sanitzer they wipe the tables with. A lot of the mom and pop establishments can't afford a crew just to clean and check dates on food and time how long an employee actually washes their hands. I can't tell you how many times I've been called because something is "broken" but only needs thorough cleaning to function properly. Almost every restaurant that burns down is due to grease fires. I rebuilt all the equipment at our local ihop because of this. But mom and pops have the best food though. Paper mill place is my local favorite my wife myself and 4 kids can all eat good and tip 20% for less than $50 In the d.m.v thats almost unheard of.
 
I've heard of Ecolab and Paper Mill sounds like a great place for a good meal.
