I love all my personal fish very much, but as far as the ultimate I'd have to say ST Datnoid, cause they are extinct, or nearly extinct except for those in the hobby making each one of them have great significance .... and because they are beautiful, are amazing predators, and like all dats, very unique in their behavior ..... need to successfully breed these guys for the survival of the species and so they become less expensive!

If we're talking dream fish then a Dragon Moray Eel, so beautiful and terrifying at the same time. (seriously google moray eel bites if you're not afraid)


Or perhaps a Cownose StingRay great personalities nice size, can hand feed.


now for fish I can actually afford on a father of 3 budget? I'll have to go With plecos great personality huge variety, and and oppurtunistic onviore aspect is awesome. Anythign your other fish don't eat/feel themselves too good for, the pleco will nab. It's like the video below from corina corina, imagine the little boy is a picky cichlid and the girl is a pleco. (skip to 1:20)
