Oscars
Jack Dempseys
Red Terror
Green Terror
Jaguar
Texas
Convict
Firemouth

If you know any more good ones that you think are better let me know???

and a second question is has anyone here kept red bellied pirahna??? are they easy to care for?? how many do you need to keep toegther??? my cousin had 5 and now only one cause they ate each other, why??? how big of a tank is required??? I ask all this cause pet store owner are useless they will tell you to put 10 in a 10 gallon. Websites are all different I want to hear from someone who actually has them now.

i would probably go with a rd/midas with a larger tank. if it's a smaller 'permanent' tank, like 50g or less, i'd be looking for salvini and firemouths. definitely take your time picking, there's tons to choose from really. good luck.

a buddy has 4 rbp in a 50g. pretty much as advertised.

I dont know anything about Piranhas, they're illegal here so i dont keep up on them.
I just know they need to be in a fairly large school to be happy and need space to swim.

Oscars - I've had these a while and they're really cool and i love them. THey arent super aggrissive though if thats what you want. But they are tough looking.

Jack Dempseys - They are territorial, but not overly aggressive. They are very attractive, but mine tends to hide a lot.

Red Terror - Dont know alot about them, but i've heard they can be timid and hide a lot.

Green Terror - Aggressive, very attractive. But thats all i know. Might be a good pick for you.

Jaguar - My favorite. But i havent actually had the pleasure of owning one yet. :( But they're my favorite anyways. Aggressive, beautiful, LARGE, and very active.

Texas - dont know
Convict - Nice fish, but not aggressive unless breeding
Firemouth - LAME - but they are very colorful and dont get very big.

What size tank do you have? Because for most of those, you could get away with a 55 - 75 gallon. The Firemouth and Convict could have a smaller tank.
But with the Jaguar, you'll need around 110-150

If you have a larger tank go with a flowerhorn, they are a hybrid if you're a purist you won't like them.
However they are extremely agressive and show more color, finnage and grow nuchal humps. Don't get me wrong I love rd/midas but they tend to be a toss up in looks once they mature.
There are numerous types of fh's and they are so much fun, they also grow fast. My newest is packing on close to 2" a month and looking great with demonic red eyes!
Green Terrors are fun too, they mature with nice coloration.

Out of that list my fav. is the Jag!
I love myu jag:)

Depends on your tank size.. But out of that list I'd go with a Jag or RT if you have at least a 125. If you can go bigger - Dovii !!
