what's your fishing pole setup

I've caught more then 20 catfish since I first bought the rod
I toss 3 out there and the action is great. More likely to find them that way, faster. Also can use different baits set to different depths. More rods you could be catching 20 catfish in a DAY :D We 've come pretty close

I got this one early June - 42.5" Long, 27" Girth, 40+ lbs20160529_100829.jpg 20160529_074905_resized.jpg 20160529_100749_resized.jpg

Are you allowed to use more than 1 rod? I could care less, just curious about the laws in your land. We can only use two off a boat in the great Lakes, otherwise 1 only. They're strict here too.

in PA, yes....3 rods (or handlines), unlimited hooks per line

Varies from state to state, so I do my research if I fish out-of-state

I use my ultra lights like any other rod for most of the fishing I do. Ultra light = long game, as long as your hooks are sharp and your drag is right, all you gotta do is turn em at the right time and he'll come eventually, granted - twice the time. It will inevitably pissed others off. But 20 minute fight on a Steelhead vs. 5 minutes and still managing to land it is fun when it works out lol. And better if you intend to keep it.

I use my ultra light 95% of the time I'm fishing. Unless I know I'm hitting a snakehead spot then I step it up to the medium with the heavier braid
