What odd "buddies" get along so well in your tank that you did not expect? Not talking breeding pairs, just inseparable fish you did not expect to see become "buddies"? Same sex counts. Make sure to include pics if you have them!

Here's one of mine. Aggressive male Heros sp. Rotkeil, will not leave the side of my female creni (Crenicichla Saxitilis sp. aff. 'Demerara'). If one goes somewhere, they both go, no matter what and never any scuffles. Both right at 8" TL. Odd too because the pike is in no way a fan of the female gold severum of the same size.

Here are my HRP and Centrachus in breeding colors. Both female and breed twice a month or more. They take turns laying eggs.

This could be a very cool thread.

Here was my guianacara, and endli when I first got them. They were inseparable the first 2 months I had them. Until the endli got big enough to eat her, and I moved it out.

Saw your other thread, sorry about you loosing your Guianacara Geayi, she was beautiful Dave. :( Very cool buddies none the less.

Thanks bro.

I have a male Laetacara dorsigera that follows a 7" male turquoise severum everywhere. Occasionally the dorsigera changes into his breeding colors and displays for the severum. He also cleans the top of his clay pot and chases the other tankmates away. Aside from the lack of a female, it's kind of like watching a Chihuahua flirt with a Great Dane.
