Whats your worst online vendor experience?

Time to revive this one lol.

Some months ago I ordered 6 motaguensis fry from a "reputable" online store. After growing them out I realized that I was sent everything but what I asked for. I concluded that 2 of them were la ceiba, 3 were loisellei and 1 that I had no idea what it was. If it was only one wrong species that I was sent I would think that they grabbed them out the wrong tank, but with 2-3 species it seems more like they gave me whatever they had leftover to make 6 fish. Needless to say I'm never ordering from them again.

I will name a vendor because most everyone I know in AZ has had problems with them: AZ Aquatic Gardens. I was stupid and some time back, I saw what was labeled as Black Forest Shrimp on their site. I wanted those shrimp. I'd pay good money to get them, and some cory hastatus, so hard to find otherwise! I ignored the No Local Pickup signs and ordered the shrimp and fish, delivery to my part of AZ.

When I got the box, the shrimp looked nothing like the picture; they were low-grade black crystal shrimp. All dead. Floating with netting INSIDE the bag. AAG said that the netting was what they used instead of moss for the shrimp to hang onto. The cories were all dying or dead when the box was opened. I called them right away, offered to send pictures within the hour, and I got a very 'eh' reply. They offered to resend the same animals again, as long as I paid for overnight shipping. I apparently made enough of a stink that they got it through their head I wanted a refund, and to this day refuse to take me off the mailing list.

Sad because if you look at their web site, they look legit and great. But buyer beware.

Thanks you so much, I was thinking about purchasing so fish from them. Also How can they sell gars? Aren't they illegal in az?
 
My worts one is buying big silver arowana. Paying alot more and then receiving a litle smaller aro...

I ordered a qty of 8 fish from a reputable vendor. I was charged for overnight shipping but recieved a way cheaper option. Asked for a refund and was told I got extra fish instead. I said I only have the 8 and was told oh well I told him to put extras in. No replies after that.

Also shipping was 2 weeks late with no notification until the day they shipped. Fish I received were in poor health and the best one out of the group had to be culled.
 
Purchased 8 African Cichlids from the fish auction site. The seller was a petstore with favorable reviews. Paid for overnight shipping. Shipment came in the following day, well packaged. But when I opened the box, all 8 bags were poorly tied thus all bags were flat with no air. Likewise bags were too small for the fish. Is short all 8 fish were DOA. Vendor though returned my money so from the money standpoint, I did not incur a loss but felt bad to see fish died.
 
Bought a pair of wc crenicichla from uruguay. Paid for next day to my office. He sent 2nd day to my home in the heart of winter.

When I got them, the female was doa. Now I have a lone male. I paid a premium for the pair but he would not refund the shipping or the fish. Hes a seller on aquabid. Terrible seller. PM me and I'll get you
 
I will add on to worst experience. I ordered 6 2 inch Amphilophus Lyonsi from a reputable vendor. I paid for everything the same day. I was then told since it was late in the week the fish would ship out Monday. Monday came nothing. Contacted the vendor Tuesday for tracking storm excuse. I was told would ship out tuesday.What made it funny is that I have family who live in the exact area. Who didn't report a storm. Any way Thursday came I asked for the tracking info I saw it was shipped Thursday afternoon. Long story short I received 6 fish DoA not to mentioned the package took 5 days for no reason when i didn't pay for that. After contacting the vendor he told me to contact usps for refund I would get some new fish re-shipped to me after the holiday. Still nothing and now Im being completely ignored. I just wanted the vendor to stick to his word or tell me straight up he cannot do it or something. I would respect a response more then to be ignored. Lesson Learned for me.
