what's your worst purchase

They're cool, and they've got a nice personality.... but the Tiger Oscar (Riddick) I got was a fatboy. Kid straight up stole food from everyone else in the tank.

... and yes... I name all my fish after characters played by Vin Diesel.
 
I'm torn.

The wild angels I bought when I was a kid - they lasted almost a week before I took them back. They didn't eat, wouldn't come out of the corner. I stipidly put them in a 20 low. They couldn't spread their fins fully. I was cruel.

Then the two albino oscars - back when they were new, at $60 each at just 1 1/2" TL. I bought them a month before I moved from California to DC. I'd also bought a 100 g for them! They went back along with the aquarium (to sell used) too. In partial defense, I didn't know I was moving when I bought them.

Well at least we know he absolutely believes in god, he just absolutely hates the f*cker.
 
my worst purchase, was my first TSN, I trusted the LFS guy to pick the best one. Next thing i know he wont eat anything an dies after acouple days. 25.00 wasted.
 
Some kind of catfish I bought from a friend of mine. It ate everything, got huge and took over my tank. So I sold him to another guy. That fish was the bane of my existence.
 
I bought a chinchilla for my GF for valentines 2 yrs ago. I kicked her out 1 year ago and of course, I was forced to take "Fred" . The little bastard throws wood chips everywhere and my LMB won't eat him.

LOL. OMG HAHAHAHAHAHHA

hmm. I recall spending over $400 trying to get those damn brycon cephalus to school... about 25 specimens later (maybe 6 weeks?) I had one left that grew from 2 inches to almost a foot (yes, they grow that fast) and the remaining bunch at the lfs weren't any bigger than 3 inches lol.
 
My worst fish purchase has consistently been feeder goldfish. I either start an ich epidemic from feeders, or a host of other parasites. The current planaria situation i have with my tank is from introducing feeders months ago. :swear:
