My worst would be 2 EBJD they were great for a couple days befor the first one died then the other one followed the next week. Sickly little buggers.

Exactly why I havent bought any. I dont like when high dollar fish die.

claricus... walking catfish. the thing would always escape at night and wake me up, flopping around in the dark. When I would turn the lights on, he would stop moving and I'd have to hunt for him...

By the time I would finally find it, it looked like a stuffed animal as my dogs shedded hair was magnetically attracted to it...

furthermore, I would frantically put it back in the tank, and all the dog hair would go straight into my filter.

I hated that fish.

The worst purchases for me are definitely the "impulse buys". I go to a LFS, find a nice fish, have to buy it and later find out that I should not have. Then I have to tear my whole tank apart (lots and lots of rocks, real plants and driftwood) to catch it because the ****er happened to be very fast, and small. All of my fish get horribly stressed and the tank never ends up looking the same, not counting the mess I make in the living room. case in point: Chinese algae eaters.

After that it would be buying clown loaches. Every time I get one I end up having an ich outbreak a couple of weeks later. Luckily I managed to cure them without losing a single fish but it's still a big pain in the ass.

worst purchase ever was a freakin RTC they start out so ****in cute @ 1 1/2 inches then 1 ft rolls around 2 months later tanks destroyed nightly, 1 jd eatin, 1 ornate bichir eatin, 1 albino catfish attempted to be eatin... never again says i never again...

Dragon Goby, the pet store guy said it would eat flake food, died in a few days:eek:

My worst was driving 3 hours to pick up a 10" tig for $300- acclimated it into my tank, and with in 24 hours it was dead.

A few weeks later the guy asked me how it was- telling him it died; his response was "well, he ate a bunch of shrimp before you took him home; so I kinda figured it wouldn't make the trip."

The purchase itself wasn't so bad perhaps a tad overpriced but I got a 2" Jardini and one of my Dats of similar size killed it within two days. I kinda take blame for that one though.
