next time consider using a fishless cycle (google it ) as it is less messy and easier to control.

Will do. Does it take longer to cycle thou?

If you've got other tanks you should use some of the gravel or media from an established tank to help in the cycling.

This is actually going to be my first set up with sand. So the other I have are bare bottom. Thanks, but I did add some Bio balls and ceramic rings that were in an established tank

U should get a complete test kit. U will be able to test ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate levels as well as ur PH.

Dude, I wouldn't leave that algae eater in there with the rbp's....Not a good idea...

mate you ned to start your own thread stop hijacking and try to write in a bit more coherent way as is a challenge to read. make sure you read all the stickys about filtration and the nitrogen cycle before posting questions available here in sticky s

If you didn't cycle your tank before sticking those fishes in chances are they will die in the next few days or they will become very very stressed. They look like they are fine but once they poop starts to build up and ammonia starts to build up they will start breathing harder and eventually die if nothing is done.

Just get a full test kit like this one:

Hmm maybe the stock list being that large is causing the delay?

So I should cut down on the feeders in the tank??
I thought that a lot of feeders would make a lot of pooh thus making my amonia/nitr higher and eventually to zero.

Wont it be to my benefit? Man, I should of went to fish college:D
