When do you know when two fish wont get along?

The GT probably established the tank as it's territory and thinks that the Catfish is invading it. Rearrange the decor to see if that helps and see if you can arrange more hiding spaces (this creates an illusion of more territory). How big is the tank?

Its a 55 gallon, and the (2) catfish are Jaguar cats, theyre around 4 inches and thick. I only have gravel and a few rock caves. I had some plants but the GT was trying to bite them. I had only a few because the GT acted skittish (still is), but them I saw him biting and yanking on plants so I took them out.

Well...he is a Cichlid, they like to do that, LOL. Maybe put the plants back in. It might distract him from the Cats.
