Bull sharks can live on freshwater OR saltwater, i think the african tiger fish does it too. So there are other species that can actually do this. Some species of salmon does it too. These fish live like that naturally, they are NOT FORCED to live like that, it's their choice. but you basically forced your fishes.

im not saying he should be doing what he is doing, but you did force your fish into tanks did you not? they didnt just flop into it lol.

i don't see how this is possible keeping saltwater fish in freshwater will throw off the osmoregulation of the fish killing it within a couple of hours. A long acclamation period would extend this to maybe a few days

mind you this only applies for fish that are only found in saltwater not the ones can go between salt, brackish and fresh

there are several saltwater fish that can tolerate braskish and freshwater conditions though and since i know nothing about the specific species he is keeping those species may be perfectly fine in pure freshwater

and what the hell is with all the "fish are unhealthy as long as there in an aqaurium" and "if your fish arn't breeding there not healthy" while being unhealthy will certainly keep the fish from breeding, not breeding does not nessicarily mean they are unhealthy. Many of the fish that haven't been bred in aquariums need a specific change in water parameters to induce breeding or very low organic levels which may be unachievable in captivity.

Looks like a fish torture chamber. :(

Meat is right.

Those fish are living on ramen and hard liquor. Just because you don't see them dying before your eyes doesn't make them healthy.
