To each their own. For me, overstocked is when aggression is a problem or when I can't keep up with the maintenance so that my nitrates stay below 20 ppm. If that means large water changes every 3 days and I am willing and able to do it, then I am not overstocked. Sorry to derail. To the topic, I hope you find satisfaction in what you have now and enjoy them CB. It good to dream, but make sure you have a plan too.

Definetly well put. C.B dare to dream and don't ever stop. I find it funny the advise these wannabe monsterfish keepers are giving ya. I'm old and still dream, some of the dreams become reality.

Right on dougie, aim high man!!! But I think that in the next few years your tastes in fish will change and you might want to keep different rarer cichlids that may be waaay more attractive looking than the run of the mill chain store fish that you see all too often. I think that if you move to cali like you say you want to, some of these things will happen. If you move to SOCAL and are anywhere near my neck of the woods, Ill help you out and hook you up with some killer fish. Im pretty well known around here about my generosity with my fish. Just ask Bsixxx, he gets all kinds of my uwanted cichlids FREE....

If you are referring to me I in no way consider myself a Monsterfishkeeper, I actually consider my self a newbie i have only been in the fish keeping hobby for 3 years and my largest tank being a 29.

And i think Japes is coming to his Hypothesis based on the information CB has showed us. Dont get me wrong I am really impressed with CB's Improvements and it might actually be possible because nothing is impossible.

yo japes you dont even know the dude to say if its possible. quit judging people you dont know at all. :headshake:nono:

I think my attitude is more realistic than the "aim high and keep dreaming!" attitude that all too commonly populates threads by the same author. If anything, what I've said is the most helpful contribution to this thread. I've helped him in other threads, but the most vital piece of advice to give a kid who's eighteen years old is you can't get something for nothing, get out there and start earning it.

Planning indoor ponds without a job or a residence suitable for such creations is impossible. Getting a job, researching information while you save and looking after what you currently have is much better advice than shallow encouragement in my opinion.

i agree, CB u need to be financially stable before you can get these things, especially if you say you want to move to california things here are gonna be a lot more expensive than in wisconsin. But otherwise good luck

CB that can happen, but you do have more than a few years before that happens. hoping for all that stuff is fine, but hoping for it isnt gonna make it happen.

Yer you finally took advice :D and that took awhile so yer but it might work in years to come it is always good to dream well i think and so do other by sounds of it as long as you keep taking advice.
