The old layout always had my attention because it was 'simple'. Too much clutter and you don't feel like posting because you cannot find anything.

the dark color scheme screams MFK to me, i love it

I don't like the new colors. The old blue worked fine. Anything with a dark background is harder to read and makes it look kind of depressing. I switched to 'light' and it works fine for me.
