Easily freshwater rays. When I first got into the hobby I have always wanted them. I got my first one two years ago and havnt looked back since.
I cant pick one species but leos, marbles, and most hybrids (coincedentally, my 3) are hard to beat.

Definitely changes with mood for me, maybe mood is the wrong word, but I like different things about different fish.
Mines gotta be jardini and has been for quite a few years now , although I'm a big fan of big cichlids they were my first love when it comes to monsters
But seriously, oscars will probably top this list... I have a jaguar I can't separate with, but I always had a thing for green terrors.
For me I would have to say a jardini and long whisker catfish. Too bad I don't have a big enough tank to house a jar for life.
Such a hard question, my wolves are amazing I love their toughness and attitude. But my bowfin is an equal to them
