When to move together?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
defintely take the jag out to the 55 then add the other fish and move the jag back later or hes going to take serious umbridge to the newcomers and they will be no match for him particulary the oscar.
maybe let them grow on a bit more and try then.

the oscar will outgrow the other fish quite quickly they average 8-9 " in the first year.
i found texas cichlids to be the slowest grower that you have.

the only fish is your silver shark i dont fancy his chances with the cichlids. they are great fish but tend to get picked on by big cichlids.

I would take the Jag out & get it a permenant home in another tank as the 150 will be to crowded. Jags are also going to be more agressive in crowded situations & may go on a kiling spree. Just my advice but you cantry what you like.

Thanks for the input! I think I may wait on mixing them for a little while so they can get a little bigger.

And good idea about the target fish, I'll think about that.

About what my Jag is mixed with, I dont really know because I bought him as a Jaguar cichlid when he looked like one, and now he turned into what he is now. :D
