I know how you guys feel. It seemed like it took me forever to get my Festae. I received six from a member late October and it was well worth the wait. These fish are attractive but they can also be very aggressive. As you wait to receive your Festae use the time to get a clear plan on your future stock and tank size. If you are planning on trying to get a pair to form from your juvies be prepared to prevent any losses during the pairing off phase. My dominant male went nuts one day and killed his brothers. His mate was beat up by her sister and she stole the male from her. This is even after the previous dominant female laid eggs a week earlier. They have killed every tankmate except for the Red Devil. I guess he knows when to fight and when to back down. Everything else has been killed extremely fast. That includes Giant Danios, Convicts, 2 Synspillum, their siblings and nearly butchered my Green Terror before I saved him. I have seen many people on this site successfully keep Festae with other fish with no problems so your experiences may be far different than mine. I now have a strong pair that tolerate one other Festae and the Red Devil. I sold the other female to a member. I don't want to see her killed. So just take this time without your Festae to get ready for them. By the way, there always seems to be some hard to get fish out there. I already have my eye on some and they will not be going in with my Festae. Good luck guys!
