Sorry if I posted in the wrong section, I'm new here.

I went to a local pet store and it had 1 baby silver aro but I didn't buy it, but now they don't carry anymore fish.

So I'm wondering where to get on- if the only method is online, what's a reliable website?

Thanks

Why don't you call around to your LFS to see if they can get any... If you're buying them online shipping is expensive

What's a LFS?

Yeah. I'm checking out Aquascape.. trying to figure out what else to buy from the site before I order..

I have a 180 gallon tank, but I think I need to get new equipment..

Is there a guide on arowana's? For example, items needed- pump, blackwater extract, what specific food pellets to buy...etc

Thanks

Oh.. Local fish stores.

The one and only store I saw that carried Arowanas no longer do. And it's not listed online.

I'm not even sure how to check for LFS when most of them aren't listed online.

You do know that a silver arowana will outgrow that 180g tank?

Here is a great start on preparing to learn about this fish. In this hobby, patience always wins. Do a little research now and your fish will live the good life for years to come.

Yeah I'm searching for a 300 gallon tank right now.

The 180 gallon was for four 5 year goldfish (the generic kind), because I'm Chinese and my family believes in its luck and such..but we got a new tank for them.

My main concern is the primary care of the arowana for the first 2 years since I want it to last more than 3+ years, so with that being said, I'd like to get some help on the equipment, nutrients, food suggested for them.

How big of a tank do you think is good for long term Arowana raising?

And how big will it get after a year? I hear 16-20 inches? But different sources vary.
