They're not common where I live. I don't care if a fish is f1, captive bred or wild caught, not too much of a difference for me. Geophagus Altifrons and Steindachneri are the only ones sold in all my LFS.
If that is the case, Aquabid.com or a reputable online importer/breeder is your best bet to get some. The good news is that geo tapajos are super easy to identify after 1.5-2", which is about what most are sold at. So there is little to no chance of getting something else like there is when someone is selling altifrons, surinamensis or abalios, unless of course they have seen the parents or are very good at IDing baby geos.

I have lived about 30 minutes away from Imperial for the last 2.5 years and have never been. I just heard of them 6 months ago. Now that I'm moving four states away, I might buy some stock from them after I get settled in. LOL
