Where can I buy smelt that are safe to feed my RTC

Just wondering, I hear of people feeding shad and smelt but I don't know where to purchase shad or smelt that would be safe to feed my RTC

The smelt at your supermarket should be safe enough.They should have the bags of them frozen....whole or gutted.

They don't have smelt at the stores I live in So Cal and many of the stores carry plain ol tilapia

Most markets that cater to a primarily Asian clientele will have a great variety of fish. I go to SF supermarket to buy fish, but it's only in Nor Cal. I'm sure there's something similar in So Cal.
