So tell us what species of this six pacu? And what is difference between this mystery pacu and black pacu? I see all traits of black pacu found in the mystery pacu.

Explain the difference to us.

I am willing to put my reputation on the line, and say they are black pacu with out hesitation, you on the other hand are just saying they are not. So what are they? I can say they aren't flounder too..... Say what they are then, or go be a troll else where.

:screwy: If you are going to call some of the most experienced members of this site "dipsticks" then at least make an attempt to back it up. If you can't tell the difference between pacu species by their appearence, then I'd like to know how the heck you can tell the difference from a pic.... Who knows, you might actually end up teaching us a thing or two :grinno:.

actually, those are blacks. red bellies usually stay a silverish sort of color, even at a large size once most of there red fades. aside from the fact ive never once seen a pic of even a wild red belly THAT big and round. the other species of pacu are almost never seen in the aquarium hobby, nor in public aquariums. that leaves us with, their black pacu

you must be an "expert" fish keeper. you have a 300g tank stocked with 2 24"blk pacu, 2-24"gar, 2 mono bass an a 30" pima according to a post of yours

you REALLY think those fish are appropriate for such a small tank, all mighty fish expert?

I have a black pacu right now and he is freakin huge! Before you buy one, get the proper tank like... 500g to 1000g. Think and do some research before you get one. My pacu is already almost three foot long and he weight about 50 lbs.
