Where can I find pearl rays?

I was told if you take them with you threw checked luggage they can be "personal pets" and no licensing is required. Is that true?
 
Not to my knowledge, if you left with them and returned with them yes but anything live is going to have to go through customs they don't just trust things to be what people say they are

Importing fish isnt difficult you just go through a licenced transshipper. That being said there are plenty of pearls in the states. Not sure if he has any for sale but I bought rays from jimr years ago and he had a bunch of gorgeous pearls and he was in mass so not too far depending on what part of ny
 
Thought they were more common but a quick search shows they arent. Getting fish from other countries isnt difficult though most are in contact with transshippers in countries all over the world who can receive the fish and send them to your doorstep.
 
Has anyone seen the "white pearls"? I wouldn't mind importing a couple of those. Can't seem to find someone who will export that is also trustworthy. My Lfs can import for me.
