The American Cichlid Assn annual convention is 7/30 thru 8/2 in Springfield Mass.
You might want to try there, and check the FS adds on the ACA site, there will be cichlid keepers national, and international.

thank you for all your help guys, ive been in contacted with jeff rapps and ive been on shark aquariums website, do u think shark would stll charge me like 40 bucks for shipping just to go to ct.

I dont know you can call and ask but some of the workers there dont wanna be bothered. Best bet would be to email the owner george. They are a cool place but ya gotta watch sometimes they tend to mislabel stuff

Wetspot shipping was pretty cheap...i think been a while

Ok I'll take a look, again thanks for the help. I have to go to work so I might be to quick on my replies for a couple hours, thanks

By the way, the last day (Sunday) of the ACA convention is a giant auction, free and open to everyone. Starts around noon (I believe)and goes until all fish are gone.
Many of the fish brought by vendors that haven't sold, are put up for auction.
Few years back in Chicago, a friend picked up a bag of 10 festae for $20.

Each auction if different, and depends on what people bring, but below are a couple of the cichlids I've picked up at different ACA conventions.
A few years back when it was in Milwaukee, a bag of 7 grammodes

In Chicago, Gymnogeophagus paso pache

there are many others over the last few decades. I usually plan to get there early to search bags and see what's available. There are normally a ratio of about 10 bags of Africans for every 1 bag of new worlds, but that's why I stay morning thru the end, at night.
