Where can I get a red wolf fish?

These four were purchased from Shark Aquarium well over a year ago. Erythrinus erythrinus are also called - Rainbow Wolf Fish, Hi-Fin Wolf Fish, and Red Wolf Fish

The ones that you have are Erythrinus Erythrinus Sp. Peru.

Sp. Peru doesn't have red/orange on the high fin and only has marking on the lower/belly area of the fish.

This is the one I have which is known as Erythrinus Erythrinus (known as red wolf fish/rainbow wolf fish). for the names red wolf fish and rainbow wolf fish, they are both the same. these wolves have red at the middle of the body and a red marking on the high fin, giving it the name "red high fin".



this is when i first got him. he was the dominant male from his batch but was a bit injured and developed ich from stress



this is a pic of him now (sorry for the bad quality). He developed a really nice blue on his lower jaw x)

Just called all the best local fish stores in the Seattle area that carry rare fish species and nobody has the red wolf fish. Hitting up the online places

Yes They are from peru and the common names are used for both varients. I have never seen an larger size of the other varient.
