Where can you get bowfin?

I don’t know where one would purches an Amia calva, but if you ever swing through Arkansas I can get you one.

read an article on nanfa that said stay away from baby Bowfins. They are usually full of tapeworms and might just puke out the contents of its stomach including tapeworms and float.

And why you mentioned that article from NANFA for no reason? I read that article and they dont say that "stay away from baby bowfin"....

Well...I'm not trying to show anyone up, and I respect your opinions very much especially as far as natives go, but they lost about 16 fish in a time frame of a few months.

Well, it was ONLY one bad batch from SAME place.
 
I have collected and keep bowfin from 5.1 cm to 25.4 cm and not once have I witnessed one puking tapeworms. You should not base your opinion of a species over one study done on a single population.
