Pretty sure it got deleted, not sure why though. It's like the moderators think we cannot handle the slightest bit of drama. Everything has to be picture perfect on this forum apparently.
I'm not sure if i'm even allowed to post the above?
Other than the OP seemingly freaking out when someone asked about why he named the fish "Gorillus", I didn't see anything too dramatic. I wasn't really on after this AM, though.
Anymore, I don't think that any post other than "Nice fish" is permitted on this forum....

It was requested by umbeeking several times at the end of the thread. It turned into a big mess anyway.
I agree this forum sucks like that, I've had infractions for the most pointless things and I'll probably get another one for this but who cares lol
The OP asked his thread be deleted in his thread, so it was. The staff respects a persons wishes to remove, move, close, delete threads etc if they are the person who created it.. Do you have any other stabs you would like to make at the staff/forum for doing what it's members ask, while we are on the topic..?

There was the business about him not wanting anyone to question the name that he gave the fish...and accusations of MM being a "HATER", but why request deletion of the thread?!?
It would be really naive of the OP to think that there would be no responses on his thread other than"You're the King!"...and childish to take his admittedly cool video / adventure away because people asked some, seemingly reasonable, questions...
His choice to start the thread. His choice to take it away. And the Mods did the right thing to delete the thread.
Just a sad reflection of the level of discourse on this site.

There is no/nor will there be a need for the staff to disclose the a members reason (if/if not provided) for wanting something deleted on the forum for all to view. Despite if another member(s) ask for it to be provided or not. That is his/her business and not a respectful topic to provide to the rest of the community. Would you appreciate that if the table were turned? If you have an issue with unanswered questions regarding the original thread, PM the member and ask directly instead of making general statements about the site as a whole i.e. your comment "Just a sad reflection of the level of discourse on this site.".
Please keep in mind, if you were to ask a thread you created be deleted, all staff members would do as you requested without question. Why should that be different for any other member Matt?
