I have been to Lowes, Home Depot, and Tractor Supply. Not only does anyone not have them, whenever i ask one of the supposed plumping experts (holding one in my hand) they look at me with a very blank and confused expression on their face. They have no clue what it is or what it does. I have seen them on other things besides aquariums, so I know they can't be exclusively at aquatics stores. The closest of which is over 100 miles from me.

Anyway, where I can I buy them? i prefer a store as appose to a website so I can be sure to get the right one because I need a double threaded one. If no one can suggest a store then by all means throw some websites out there too please.

I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND HOW YOU FEEL!!!!
omg dood those home depot people are the worst!!! they dont even try to freaking help you, they just look at you like your the biggest moron in the world and say "no we dont have those"

AHHHHHH
well anyway this guy gave me this website:
http://www.jehmco.com
look at the bulkhead section and yea its supposed to be relatively cheap
i have never dealt with them before, so i dont know anything about them.
they seem to have a lotta helpful stuff for the hobby though

I just asked for the shower drains... They all seem to have them, though cheapest I could find was ~9 bucks (Though I was going for large sizes). They were located in the same aisle as the pvc.

If you want actual bulkheads, a pond store, or online would be your best bet I am guessing.

I have seen electrical bulkheads at home depot, but these where very small like 3/8 inch.

Funny story though, I was looking for a small one about that size, so I went to HD and found the bulkhead in the electrical isle that said liquid tight. Being the double checker that I am I was trying to fit it to the container I had with me. The HD associate came over, and had the nerve to say that’s for electrical your container is for liquids.

So I asked him "If this is a liquid tight bulkhead, why can't I use it", to which he replied it only keeps liquid out, being the smart A that I am I said "If it keep liquid out, then by default it keeps it in". This associate starting to get annoyed with me, then explains that just because it keeps water out doesn’t mean it keeps it in.

I bought the bulkhead and haven't had one problem.

lol DOWN WITH HOME DEPOT EMPLOYEES
seriously they are the worst service i have ever had in my almost 16 year life

Another industry that uses bulkhead fittings is the plastic tank industry. Anyone who carries or manufactures plastic tanks for R.V.'s, boats, or for car detailers would also carry bulkhead fittings.

Ive dealt with jehmco several times and he is really helpful and knows his stuff.Call him up,he will be sure you get what you are looking for.Great prices on food too.

They carry the double threaded ones at our local farm store (Wilco). Try places where they sell spray equipment.
