Where do you get your gravel?

I got estes' black rock for my tanks that have rock. It's like 20lb. bags and was like $16 a bag. If that helps. It was by far the best black gravel I have seen all the others you could tell were painted and it was either fading or chiped. This estes' is SOILD black.

Thanks, I will look into it. I want solid black but I HATE the look of epoxy coated gravel.

Was this gravel for your 585? How many 20 lb bags did you get?

Found some pics on the www, looks good, and a good price, $25 for 25lbs. The shipping however is more than the gravel! Going to have to find a local distrubutor.

no this was in one of my 125s and my G/Fs 54 corner.
I found mine through a LFS I know that petland carries the estes' products so if you have one of those near you I would try there.


I couldn't find a petland itn your area of pet supply plus. but I did find that Big Al's has it and here's the link

$13 a bag for a 25lb. bag lots better then the $25 a bag you found. But Idon't know about shipping. Ill try to find estes website and you can try to contact them about a retailer.
 
ok I found there website. it's http://www.estesco.com/ They sell lots of stuff inculding aritctual items So if you can't find a pet store that has it I would call them and see if they could tell you if a arcitectual retailer could get it for you.
 
Theres a sale big Al's! 10$ used Red gravel mixed with Flourite.. really looks like a really good deal.. and very heavy bag, =^___^=

Found a LFS that carries it today, I am going to see if they can order me what i need since they only had two bags on the shelf. thanks!
