Where have the WC Kelberi gone?

While the F1 Bahia Kelberi out of Taiwan are the latest craze in the cichla game, I find myself wondering where the hell have the wild caught Kelberi gone? Anyone know of any heading for US soil this year? I'm dying to get my hands on some stunner wild caught guys and don't see a light at the end of the tunnel :( . Rapps? Wes? Anyoneeeeeeee

South American restrictions are effecting the trade. One thing that I have learned over the years in the cichla game, they come and go in cycles and sometimes it's dry for a while. I did speak to Rapps and he was telling my about his recent troubles trying to get some wild kelberis out of brazil. Plus it's a lot easier getting tank raises kelberis verse going through all the trouble collecting and importing wild boys. Efforts are easier and importers probably make almost the same dollar, if not a lot more money with the captive breed cichla. If I remember correctly, the bahias weren't inexpensively priced at 3 inch sizes.
 
It was a little crazy how they came in and now nothing but we all were warned by bOOsten and R1 and Junior that this would happen. I was a little wet behind the ears so next time I will be on time for sure. Even if it's 10 years from now. Dedicated Cichla Junky. I hope Rapps is able to pull some more amazing tricks out of his magic bag of Cichlid's.
 
I waiting as well. Slowly gathering tanks, filters, lights, pumps, heaters, and so on. I'll be ready this time.
 
Me too....boy was I neive when SA had the cichla "species yellow", a year or so ago....like $30 bux too. And those turned out to be 24k's. ANd all the rapps ones.....I didnt know they would turn out to be a cichla I now desire so dearly. I would also like some bahia's tho....but w/ no growout at the moment, and none for sale at the size I need I'll just have to wait. It was probably that hoarder JL that bought all of Wills :(

You're in NJ and I'm always in the market for a nice Kelberi so that's why I ask :)
