Ok so I plan on getting a rhom in the next month or so. Does anyone have any experiences with online companies or maybe know someone near east TN to get one from. I wouldn't mind a bit of a drive if the price is right. I've tried my lfs but they cannot get them, just rbp. I'm also curious as to which locality I should get, peru, xingu, etc. Thanks in advance.

aeaquatics, shark aquarium and aquascapeonline are all great online companies. see what they have in stock.
as for which locality to get, well which one you like better? look up pix.

thanks.

yeah I am actually between a blue diamond and black rhom. I've done lots of research but I keep getting varying answers, aside from the coloration aren't they basically the same as far as size and aggression?

aggression wise, each fish is different even when you comparing within the same variant.
size wise diamond doesn't get as large as black rhom or at least you don't see that many diamonds at 12"+ as compare to black rhoms in the hobby.
I've had both blue and black diamond, IMO, black diamond is just as nice as blue diamond, at least my big guy was just as colorful as the blue. I get to see green, gold, silver, blue, purple all over its body.

yea I understand that each fish has it's own personality, I've said this myself many times, but I was referring to them in general.

That sounds like a beautiful fish you have there.

Right now I'm really aiming towards the biggest one, but I'll still get a blue diamond eventually. I'll probably put it on my Christmas wish list. lol

As always, Thanks JP for chiming in.

blue is still the sexiest

I'm also curious as to the difference in ordering from aeaquatics and aquascape. I noticed when doing some research that alex and bong were mentioned as employees at both places?

they used to work at aquascape but due to some internal conflicts (no a good idea to mention it out in public) they both left and joined team to open an other great store.
both are great stores and you shouldn't go wrong with either one.
just see which store has the fish you want at the price you want, if both places have what you want then see which shopping experience you enjoy more, personally I would pick one with better customer service if everything else equals.
you can also check out both customer feedbacks on piranha-fury.com and make the decision from there.
