Where to buy a serra rhom

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i've delt with both AE and aquascape. both great places to get piranhas. AE has plent of rhoms. I would get a reg black rhom from peru, availability, low price, and the adult look make it one of my favorite rhoms.I bought a reg black rhom from AE recently has to be one of the most aggressive fish I've kept. but you cant go wrong with a diamond or xingu black either(abit more costly).

jp thanks for explaining about the companies.
Rhom thanks for the letting me know your history with them.
Looks like it'll be a peruvian black rhom for now and a blue diamond for x-mas.

I believe that Ae aquatics may have the edge as far as customer service(IMO) so I would recommend them to you from my experience. good luck with your rhom.

yeah that's what I'm thinking so I'm going to give em a shot.

I've ordered piranha twice both times I emailed aquascapes n sharkaquarium n AEaquatics asking the availability of certain fish, both times Alex was the only one to reply.as a matter of fact Alex answered every text n email I sent to him.Alex actually emailed me confirming shipping of the fish & called the next morning within a hour of the fish arriving.Alex has my business.I'm not saying the other two are bad as I've never done business with them, although I have tryd.I don't think you can go wrong with a blk rhom.GL!

Thanks. I emailed him for shipping cost.

I actually prefer to get them smaller and raise them myself. It seems like getting a known slow grower at a large size would shorten the length of time you can keep the fish.

Most people buy large because they grow slow. Everybody's jaw drops when they see the footlong and bigger. You'd be waiting YEARS if you started small.

Personally i started small myself but I understand why people would start large with rhoms. I did it because i didn't want to drop a few hundred bucks on a fish. If i felt justified in dropping that kind of money in a fish, i would've gone that route

I don't mind the wait. I'm working toward a phd in marine bio so it's a little late to decide I don't like fish anymore.lol.

I also started my reef tank from small frags so that has helped with teaching me to be patient.
