i am having trouble finding gar vendors. I have posted an add in marketplace, but i was hoping someone here could help me out.

I know i live in a place where i could just go catch all kinds of gar, but i want to try the easy route of purchasing them before I make the effort to go fishing for them with the little time i have

thanks for any help guys

hit up snookn21. Im not sure if he has any atm but that is one of the best vendors for them.

I believe he has his normal Florida stock in right now.

looking for either another florida, or maybe a short nose or long nose if i can find one

is there a good market for spotted, short and long nose gars?

none of those are named properly, i assume the needs nose is the long nose, which one is the florida?

Both the spotted "Columbian" and the banded "Columbian" (Farm location I guess?)

I spoke with Tom last week, and he also has Huertas, and got in asian needlefish last week. Make sure that you specify that you are interested in the Lepisosteus Gar genis if you place an order. Shipping is also far more resonable than most mail order vendors, although I rarely pay for shipping due to the amount of money I spend!

I just can't see paying $30 - $50 shipping on a florida gar.

I'm with you on the "fishing" also. As an avid fisherman, the LNG are available to catch in my area. I am a LIP RIPPER extrordinaire, and would most likely yank the LNG jaws off hook and line. No seign netting in MD. waters for me, as the omnipotent Snakehead in MD. waters may bite my nutsac whislt I wade!:thumbsdow

I believe there is a farm that raise and sell gar in Louisiana or Missouri that the aquarium manager at Cabela's told me but I can't remember the name right now, if you want I can ask him!
