Need to decorate my Arowana aquarium (fish still in growout tank) thinking a large driftwood, some large stumps, a large cave for other fish I plan on adding

Problem is everywhere sells little decorations, I spent a good amount of money on this tank I want it to look nice, no DIY or anything just some solid pieces , but hard to find in large sizes.

Don’t mind if they cost quite bit, I can imagine since the market is smaller for these prices will be higher

Maybe eBay ?

I use sections of Casuarina roots that I cut from tree stumps along the shore here for my 450gal. After some months I could see parts of the wood beginning to deteriorate so I coated them with Pond Shield to preserve them. I know finding large tree stumps might not be an option in your area but if you do find a nice large section of wood then I would suggest you consider preserving it with Pond Shield (also called Pond Armor). It's a clear aquarium safe epoxy-like coating that preserves and IMO even enhances the look of the wood.

I pick up driftwood and bogwood from local riverbanks. I usually clean it off pretty thoroughly and soak it awhile in a holding tank before putting it in a tank with fish though.

After i cleaned this ~40 lb chunk of bogwood, i ran a long auger bit on a cordless drill through the holes to make interconnecting tunnels, and then bolted it to a chunk of granite to help it (eventually) sink.

they have rocks and driftwood fake that do not stain the water and they have plants I did my 780 gallon tank from them
