just starting a new planted tank and would like sugestion where to buy good plants, online stores are welcomed. looking for plants that are not normally found at your LFS!
check out what other members are selling at plantedtank.net. that's where i buy all my plants. i don't like online vendors because they usually sell plants that are grown emersed and they'll melt shortly after putting them in your tank.
have also had good luck at aquariumplants.com with several orders over the past couple of years. their xxl or show size swords are incredible. currently have 3 different ones filling a 125, arrived with dozens of baby plants attached and never stopped growing.
i would avoid fostersmith and thatpetplace for plants, have not had good long term experiences with plants from them.

" Canadian (live plant) shipments: Now that we have a distribution center in Canada, NO Phytosanitary Certificate is needed for your orders. (this saves Canadian customers $85 per plant order)" aquariumplants.com
if this ia true then why is the shipping to Canada so rediculous?
i see your point. if they distribute from within canada, then why are they charging overseas shipping rates. have you tried to contact them? they are a great company to work with, as far as customer service goes. best of luck.
