you can buy T8 light strips at about any LFS, certainly at a Petco/Petsmart or similar big-box pet shop, and on-line . . . for a 29G, I would recommend at least two T8 bulbs to have a decent low-light tank
Ok, I got another question. Can the strip fit on my existing hood? The hood I got is just a stock hood. WHat are some examples of T8 Fixtures sold at LFS and petsmart etc? DO they look like th stock hoods/strips? I saw some all glass and perfecto brands that were T8 but kind of expensive. Like $50-$60 for a dual bulb.

far as I know, new strip-lights will run about $50+, but maybe you can find used or find a bargain somewhere
yep T8 lights from home depot or menards are the same stuff you buy from fish stores except they don't have a 300% markup becuase they are used for a "specialty" application.warlord651;4381986; said:
