Cheapest place to get them is from home depot and lowes

Yep, I am gonna go to lowes tomorrow. I might even go tonight. I hope I can find something thats 30" though.
30" fixtures don't exist your going to have to go with a 24" fixture.

if you look at any aqaurium 30" fixture they use 24" bulbs. For example my 29 gallon is 30" long but it uses 24" bulbs.

Yeah I know the bulbs are smaller. But you said your 29 gallon is 30" long. So you are saying you are saying the fixture on top is only 24" long?

^ no. aquarium is 29". fixture is 29". bulb is 24"

So I went to lowes and got a light. I got a 24" light dual bulb. They only had one like this in stock. I grabbed (2) 15 watt 18" bulbs, GE daylight 6500K. I saw some bulbs that said aquarium lights and plant lights, but neither showed any kelvin rating. Whats your opinion on those bulbs? Did I get the right ones? I'm kinda ticked off though, I think I was suppose to get some screws and stuff and theres nothing in the box. I should of known since the box looked taped up, like it was a return that was put back on the shelf.

the 6500k will be good. those other one are very too low on the kelvin scale. i dont even know why the call them aquarium bulbs :screwy:

Yeah I didn't see any kelvin rating. When I don't see it I don't buy it. It kinda looks like I can take out that crappy stock fixture out of my hood and put this fixture in it. I hope. But I need to go back to lowes later cause they didn't have screws in the box.
