Where to buy tanks online?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
most people come out ahead with glasscages when they do there own diy stands and canopies. a glasscage 240 is only $625, thats pretty cheap for a 8x2x2.

^ true. but im not planning on building my own stand.i think ima call my lfs and do layaway

Well, can i offer a little advice?

I am just a little ahead of where you are in your purchase. Something to give serious thought to, by the time I am done, I will have as much in all the "others" as i will in the tank itself.

Initialy glasscages glass 100 was cheaper the TRUVU acrylic 100. However as i wanted drilled bottom, and saphire front, Truvvu ended up almost the same.

i will be calling truvu today to order a 72x18x18 for almost $600.00 delivered to my door. But i spent that on plumbing pumps heaters sump etc.

So i guess what i am trying to say is if you dont have everything else you need on hand allready, think about all the oher costs that will come with a tank that size.

Join local fish clubs. I just bought a 220 (6 x 24 x 30), stand, xp3 , and americal sump for 300 bucks

i dont think we have any in las vegas haha.

Ive been doing some research on buying big tanks.

My local LFS's are all 2-3x more expensive than glasscages, even with shipping costs.

The best way to go cheap is to try and find deals on craigslist.

yea i was also looking at glass cages for a 240 to ship to vegas, they wanted 600$ to ship here or 180$ to deliver to kingman az to pick up. i checked prices here in vegas, at FISH they want 500$ for a 240 but its fujimoto and i havent heard anything good about them. i also checked luckys and they were about 1300$ for a 240.

but i would say keep an eye on craigslist here in vegas, i just missed a 7 x 2 x 2 for 200$
