where to buy worms/ breeding worms?

i go the worm ranch way also. wal marts worms are junk compared to them. plus i get to know right where they are coming from. and after you go through a worm ranch owner for a while and get to know them they really hook it up. no guy going fishing is going to spend more than $30 on one trip just for some worms lol

Funny thing, this was the ad at the top of the page when I clocked on this thread: http://www.unclejimswormfarm.com/ I assume they are a sponsor of the site. For what it's worth, I go the Walmart route also. They last a couple weeks easy in my fridge.

I was bought form them full farm kit... well, I'm not recommended this site. I did not get all stuff, and I had email to them and call many times to get what I ordered... and finally (I'm not sure that it was form them) I have lots of small spiders in farm box...

Sorry to hear that. I have had no dealings with them, just posted the link because it was on the same page as the question the OP asked and they sponsored the site.

if you use a barebottom tank blackwormsll be ok but if not i wouldnt do blackworms cus theyll be kind of hard for the rays to hit and soon theyll burrow in

rays are always sifting through the substrate and can get at blackworms just fine. also im talking wal mart night crawlers not the trout worms.

you guys know if there is a worm ranch, in TN, AR, TX, Missouri, Ohio area?

i stock up at walmart also on trout worms and crawlers, and when it rains, after the rain stops i go out with a flashlight and this home made electric prong and stick it in the ground and about 2-5mins later i have a whole colony of worms from the garden. and these worms are about 9-12". good for the garden as they dig holes for water and i make sure to remind the wifey to make the garden organic. no pesticides!
