Hello, my name is Joey. I live near Wilmington NC. Im planning a family trip to S. Florida to go cichlid fishing to feel my aquariums up. We just thought this would be a more fun way to stock our tanks, than going and buying them.
Ive noticed some of you live in Florida, and probably know some good spots for these cichlids.
Were looking for creeks or canals that the public can access, dont want any trouble with trespassing on other people's property.
Ive heard different canals are home for different cichlids. What i need is info on public property to catch my target fish, such as:

Peacock bass
Jaguar cichlid
Jewel cichlid
Red devil
Mayan cichlid

Thanks in advance for any locations and pin points were i might catch these.

I have seen Uropthalmus, Oscars and many other cichlids from Naples and on south in almost any of the canals bordering the main highway just north of the Everglades and on down.

Here is a picture of all the canals in south Florida.
If anyone can copy it and mark where the stops are at, it would be very appreciated Ty20170820_183727.png
