where to find a good deal on a Fluval FX5

Hey Guys I know this is a simple Question but to me its an important one. Why is it so important? well my 250G tank is in the garage at the moment and I am running a 75 Gallon sump in it. it is really noisy and that is why it is out there, but i want to move it into the basement to sit beside the couch in the theater room. now as you can imagine a noisy filter would be very annoying when trying to watch a good movie so I want to change over to a FX5. the new tank stand I built is insulated for sound so with the quieter filter and the sound dampening I figure I should be Golden. now the next part is finding one reasonable. so does anyone know where I can get a new FX5 for as reasonably as possible? the local pet store wants a fortune. also I am looking for parts for my ac110's if anyone knows where I can find them. the local guy I got them from before is no longer in business and the chain stores said "just buy a new filter" :swear::swear::swear::swear::swear:
 
Yup, Amazon/Ebay! Get them for around $200...much less than any fish/pet store sells them for

I got mine on Amazon for 210 plus the cost of media on Amazon just before Xmas. I wanted to buy local but I called 3 lfs and all listed at $400+. I am all up for helping the local guy but not at twice the cost.
 
^ Yep. Even my LFS told me they won't stock them and referred me to Amazon and showed me their wholesale cost. They said if I ordered one through them they would just buy it from Amazon anyhow because their wholesale was listing it for $289.
 
I got my FX5 on route. my Girlfriend decided to surprise me and while I was in the middle of ordering it she bought it for me. she hijacked me by tricking me into helping her get supper ready and snuck onto the computer and finished my order. hopefully it will be here before the weekend. I have to pick it up at the Border or it costs another $70 for shipping into canada. and I just happen to be going right by there on friday afternoon. that would make me so happy if i could kill 2 birds with 1 stone. I will hopefully be ordering another one in a couple months!!! :)
