Where to Find Pot Scrubbers

Ihsnshaik, Thanks for the lead on the scrubbies.
I ordered 288 (3 packs) from Do-It Center and they arrived today.
I opened one of the packages and they smelled, bad....
I was going to soak them, figuring this would get rid of the smell but then I looked at the package and it had the Cali prop 65 warning which made me think that they must contain Phthalates which cannot be soaked off and will only be released more by being constantly in an aquarium water.
This may be why they aren’t so easily found these days...
I suppose this would be fine in a normal aquarium, but the system I need the biofiltration for is an aquaponics system so this sort of makes the scrubbies a no go.
Thankfully the fish are still small so I have time to figure all of this out before they really need some serious filtration, but I would like to get it established before they get too big.

Anyway, I do appreciate your help and if I start a regular fish tank in the future I will keep Do-It Center in mind.
Thanks again

Thanks Aquanero, I have already tried the scrubbies and they contain chemicals (Phthalates) that I am uncomfortable using for my system.
It is an aquaponics system so the water will be in direct contact with a food source.
They are fine for regular fish tank.

I do wonder though, Phthalates can effect reproduction and development problems, so perhaps those who are having issues with breeding their fish may want to stay away from plastic pot scrubbers, just a thought....

carbene, I think I am going to go the lava rock route.
At least I know what I am getting...
I may go with the clay balls used by hydroponics growers, but I hear these clog quickly, but then again I also hear the same thing about lava rock and I have also heard people rave about it...
It’s enough to drive one coo-koo!!!
