Well, the cat is paid for, still at the store waiting for my tank to finish cycling. They wouldn't sell it to me until I let it shock me, so I've experience it. It was only about 2.5-3" so not that bad, but still enough to make me jump. I do not want to know what it feels like once it grows to a foot...
be carefull of what fish u put with him. i know my electric catfish loves orange colored fish and will eat anything that color. it ate a 3 inch cichlid i bought in less than 15 min. try and get fish that r bigger than it if u want to keep them. I keep mine with 3 cichlid they steer clear of him but r fun to watch. I use to feed him worms but now just feeder fish.
I don't think I'll be putting anything else in with him. He'll outgrow my current tank setup soon enough as it is without other fish to take up room as well.
