Where to get glass?

Where are you guys getting the front glass panel for your DIY tanks?

Is 1/2" enough for a 94x32 maybe 34" front panel, or do I need 3/4?

You need 3/4. 1/2 is not going to cut it. Bottom line just because of the hight

Unless you want to go 1/2 tempered which will cost more then the 3/4 float glass

Look for any glass shop near you. Bathroom installers or window shops

What should I be expecting to pay for a piece of glass that size?

Ya best bet would be to look for a place that builds showers or a window place. And what would the dimensions of the glass be? Hard to give a ballpark price because I'm from Canada which makes everything more expensive

Well I forgot to call today, but there is a shower place near me for glass. Its actually called RI-Glass.com which is their website.

The piece I need is going to be 94" long and I am thinking 32" tall, maybe 30". Not sure yet on how high I want to go, the price is going to dictate that. IF the price is not much more, I will go as tall as within reason. Maybe 34".

I would like to get as close to 350 gallons as possible with this tank.

Do you think 3/4" is strong enough even at 34" high?

Yes I think it should be just brace it accordingly across the top of the tank. Might be a pricey piece of glass
