where do i find panacure.some body recomended to me for internal parasites.I suspected a ray has parasites it has become very inactive and will only eat earthworms.wont even consider eating anything else. any info will help

has anybody ever used this stuff.i have two rays that just completley slowed down eating.i went out of town christmas eve came back christmas day and the two rays were acting weird trashing body one of them is brething harder i am worried i can get them to eat worms and i injected some with prazi pro.is their anything else i would be able to get that would kill parasites

i put some geos in the tank about 2 months ago before i got my new rays.the two rays that had a feast on them are the two rays that are messed up right now.I cant say for sure but that could be a good guess because they both started to act like this on the same day and the other 5 rays dont seem bothered at all or yet

First course of action should be identification of the Parasite as Prazi doesn't work for Nematodes.

True Prazi wont work for everything ,but its safe enough for the ray that you dont have to worry about killing it.First thing is that the ray is still eating and just because its only eating earthworms doesnt mean its even sick.Second just because the ray isnt active all the time doesnt mean its sick ,ive had rays that just lounge around until they get fed, become very active then ,but once done eating go back to just lounging around.

I agree with what you say and wasn't advocating the use of Panacur. Just that it would be better to know what or even if
they are sick.
I too have a female who pretty much is stationary, unless I am feeding. And then she wants to bully the others for the food.
She is actually quite lazy:)

For whatever it's worth, I use panacur all most of my wild caught rays (fresh and salt). I've had a lot of success with it clearing out a lot of internal parasites.

Another drug I've just started working with is called lufenuron (sold by the name "Program" in the pet trade). It's worked great on copepods that panacur, prazi and formalin haven't worked on with a few species of ray I'm currently working with.
