Where to put blue filter pads on FX5?

The box says to put it in the 3rd basket, but from what I read, most people recommend using it in the 1st basket.

So which is better?

Whichever basket you use first for your bio media. The blue pad stops the bio media from being clogged. The most efficient way is to have all baskets with bio media and the blue pad on the top basket.
