My list:
The Amazon - Lots of awesome species for both the angling and aquarium hobbies, such as Piraiba, Arapaima, Dorado, and Sorubim. Plus a major show on how much more money Brazil could make out of tourism and fishing in this region as opposed to dams and horrible infrastructure/agricultural practices.
The Mekong - A lot of Awesome fish species and with lots of angling potential. Mekong Giant Catfish, Mekong Giant Stingray, Mahseer, Goonch, and, if your luck, a Mekong Salmon Carp. Plus, again, another major show on how much more Money the Mekong countries can make out of tourism and fishing in this region.
Gatun Lake - Heard there's some good Cichla Pleiozona fishing here.
Alaska/Pacific Northwest - Salmon are awesome.
Frazier River - White Sturgeon are awesome.
Siberia - Think of fishing for species found in both Europe and Asia in common waters. Yellowcheek and Taimen are really good fishing, I hear.
Siargao del Norte - Awesome fishing for Marlin, Sailfish, Dourado (Dolphin Fish), Tuna, and Mackerel
China could probably also learn a thing or two, what with them having Hucho Bleekeri, the massive Chinese Sturgeon, and a number of interesting fish like the Yellowcheek and Predatory Carps. I'd mention Chinese Paddlefish, but we don't even know if they're still out there and even then, we're more likely to get them successfully cloned within the next ten years than we are to find them within the next 5 months.
Pretty much yeah.
